Cast as Denise Savage in 'Savage In Limbo' by John Patrick Shanley

I am delighted to be performing the role of Denise Savage in ‘Savage In Limbo,’ by John Patrick Shanley. at The Lantern Theatre, with a run beginning on 10th October 2024. This will be the first production from Pocket Of Light Theatre, a company I co-founded with directors Sebastien Blanc & Caroline Farrington in 2023.

We are going back to the 80’s in New York City to uncover the lives of five Bronx residents struggling to live below the breadline. They are drawn, on this one night, to a local dive bar called Scales & each in their own way fights for a better life. Shanley channels the wit, fire & idiosyncrasies of real life Bronx immigrants he grew up with in East Tremont.

In his own words he created this play, ‘to give air to all the disparate things that were at war,’ within him & it is a non-stop, pedal to the metal rollercoaster of passion, questions & ideas that are as relevant to our communities & society today as they were to his two decades previously. There is even a little magic sprinkled in. I hope that you can come with us & immerse yourself in the vibrant world of the Bronx, 1984.
